Minor League is for 9-10 year olds. Players are given the opportunity to pitch, and batters will hit off an opposing team’s player pitcher. Teams in this league will play 9 players in the field, although all players will appear in the batting order with a continuous lineup. Stealing is allowed, but lead-offs are not. Umpires are provided and score is kept in this league. There is also a competitive end-of-the-season tournament to determine a league champion. All-star teams will be selected from this league to compete in a Greater Birmingham Baseball Association (GBBA) sanctioned Post-Season and Tournament, which typically runs through the end of June.
